DISCLAIMER: I DON’T OWN AVATAR OR ERAGON!
So I know where I want to story to go right now, it’s just a matter of exactly how to do it, and when I’m gonna write it all down.Second semster started at school finally, thank goodness, halfway through the year. I also got glasses, and I’m going to sweethearts on the fourteenth with the most good looking sweetest guy I have ever met. I’m kinda excited, so lets hope that transfers over to the story, enjoy!

“Where’s Orion gotten to? I haven’t seen him all day.” Toph threw some spices they had found on the island into the pot.

“I don’t know.” Aang shrugged as he cut up a funny looking fruit.

“Liar, you’re always connected with him. Where isAHHH! ORION!” Toph jumped a foot in the air as Orion rocketed over her head, dropping a dead tree trunk beside the two benders.

Aang tried desperately to keep his fits of laughter to himself, but it just didn’t work.

Toph glared at him with her unseeing eyes as Orion landed next to him, a deep hum of laughter emmiting from deep in his throat.

“Really I should just launch you both off the island. You can be such a pain!” Toph knelt back down by the pot as she spoke and continued to make dinner for her and Aang.

I am not a pain! I brought you more fire wood.

“And how do you expect us to use a dead tree as fire wood? Don’t answer that. So when are you going to fly with eachother you two?”

The laughter in Aang’s eyes died immedietly.

What did I miss? What’s wrong Aang? Obvious worry eminated from Orion as he stared at his bond.

“It’s nothing, I’m fine. I just wanna be alone for a while. Call me when the soup’s ready?” Without waiting for an answer, the airbender stood and walked out of the ruined hall the three had made their home.

Toph? What’s going on? Aang won’t let me into his memories. Orion’s silver eyes prodded at Toph as if they were knives.

“He doesn’t want me telling you.” Toph misted eyes stared blankly into the fire as she wrapped her arms around her knees.

Toph, whether he likes it or not, I’m Aang’s companion through life now. I don’t like it when he hides things from me. Please.

“What do you know of us before you hatched? Do you know anything about us?”

A silence followed Toph’s question until finally the thought came. No.

“You mean Aang hasn’t told you anything? Then he’s really going to kill me for telling you this. Before Aang found you, we were in a war. Through the entire thing, Aang’s flying lemure, Momo, and his flying Bison, Appa, survived. About three months before we found your egg, Appa died. I think that’s why he won’t go flying on you. It reminds him of Appa. That big fur ball had been through everything with him, and now…. he’s gone. It’s hard for him.”

Toph… I have memories. Memories of a different time, before I hatched, when I was with Aang, and memories before even that, with other people, but their minds always felt like Aang’s does now. Why is that?

“Aang is what people call an Avatar. A powerful being that can control all the elements. Aang is the reincarnation of all the previous Avatars. Aang is the same spirit, but a different one at the same time. The Avatar has always had an animal with him, a pet I guess is how most people refer to it. Maybe you’re that pet, and the spirit of the pet, is reincarnated like the Avatar.”

A calm silence grew between the two as Toph stirred the soup.

“Dinner is ready. Can you go find Aang? You’ll probably have a better chance of it then me.”

Orion stood and took to the skies.

--

Orion found his bond in one of the tallest trees on the island, an ancient pine, the knarled wood making it easy for one to climb. The silver dragon perched on a thick branch below his friend, silver orbs staring at the teen.

Toph says dinner is ready. Will you come?

“Yeah, I’ll be there soon.” The Avatar’s voice sounded dead.

Aang? Toph told me about your bison. A seering jab of anger radiated through their mental link. Don’t be mad at her. I asked her to tell me. Whether you like it or not Twinkle Toes, we are connected, and there is no changing that. And if it means anything to you, I remember Momo.

Aang stayed motionless as he thought this over. Orion caught glimpses of the black and white terror as Aang shifted through memories from a life before Orion.

You remember Momo? How?

I don’t know. Toph thinks it has something to do with reincarnation. I didn’t understand most of what she told me. You’re going to have to elaborate on that later. But yes, I remember Momo, and countless other things that aren’t mine. I remember an old man, with a blue arrow like your’s, and anther old man, from before you. I was his dragon. It’s strange, not being me, but still being Orion, while I’m another.

I know exactly what you mean buddy. Come’on, Toph’ll get mad if we make her wait anymore. Mind if I catch a ride? It’s kinda a long way back.

Orion’s reply came in jumping up to the branch Aang was positioned on and shoving him onto his back before launching into the dark sky above.

I was actually gonna make this chapter longer, but this is a good stopping point. I also know exactly where to go for a little bit after this, anyways, process and reply, and you may get the next chapter soon. By the way Happy Brithday Alex!!!!!!!!! And Todd!!!!
